The 0s and 1s - S3V6
Sam Antonacci, Payton Green, plus 3 in the Abyss and 2 DSL bats
Volume 6 is here. We have a couple middle infielders, an arm that continues to improve, one of the most interesting guys out there, a big beast who has made amazing strides, and a couple DSL bats.

Sam Antonacci (2% Owned - Age 22 - 800+ Specs) White Sox
Sam has gotten some buzz. He was a 5th round pick out of Coastal Carolina. Sam steals bases. He has 20 on the year with just 5 CS. He has a wSB over 1. That’s impressive. What’s impressive is he’s not just about the ground and pound like most of the speed guys. That won’t get it done. But spraying line drives 20 percent of the time and keeping the ground balls in check? That will.
Sam started out the year alright. Not hot enough to warrant the early season helium pump but he was really good.
Since May 1st he has been excellent with the bat.
He missed almost all of May on the IL. How has he been since he came back you ask?
That 2 men and a baby wRC+ is what we like to see. You’re not going to get a bunch of power. Sam will stack up counting stats with a good LD%, good enough GB%, and a good Pull%. You’re going to get enough solid contact to do damage with that speed.
The only other person (with at least a 150 PAs and not old for the level) doing what Sam is doing is Josue De Paula (42% on Fantrax). Bat wise they’re very similar so far. The biggest issue I have with Sam is the glove.
He has played second and third. It looks like he has a barely average glove. He has a .964 at 3B and a .977 at 2B. The 3B % is in the realm of average while the 2B % is below average. That is always an issue we have to watch out for. Sure we want to catch the helium and in fantasy land it’s bat first so the helium will come as he keeps producing. You have to monitor that if he is something you are banking on long term. Lefty speed bats who do more than hit grounders are cool. Especially when the only other guy doing it is Josue De Paula who has had the helium for 2 years.
Payton Green (0% Owned - Age 22 - 800+ Specs) Marlins
Taken in the 15th round in 2021 out of HS by Boston. He decided to go to school instead of signing. He played two years at NC State and 2024 at Georgia Tech where he hit .308 with a .984 OPS. That got him drafted in the 6th round by Miami. He played 18 games in A after being drafted last season. It wasn’t pretty but no one seemed to care. He started the season late (5/1) with a promotion to High - A. All he has done is hit. He has 16 multi hit games in 41 played. In mid May he had 9 multi hit games in 10.
Strikes out less than 20% of the time, doesn’t hit it on the ground, hits line drives, and he pulls it. You know how many guys are doing what Payton is doing that are not old for the level with a min of 150 PAs? 5
Brayan Rocchio (15% on Fantrax) he hasn’t done it at the highest level but he was a T100 prospect just last year
Brennan Milone (0s and 1s, 1%) I’ve been telling you Brennan is a bat since the very first 0s and 1s. We shall see if the glove holds up. He has a .996 Fielding % at 1B, but just a .954 at 2B.
Eduardo Tait (20%) 18 year old with the Phillies
Eli Serrano III (3%) Eli was taken in the 4th round by the Mets. His numbers are almost mirror images of Payton’s.
Payton is 100% hit tool over power. He is a skinny 6’3” SS who so far has shown he can stick there. He has a .983 Fielding % there this season with just 2 errors.
He has 4 bombs but with his ability to keep it off the ground and pull it, he has a .190 ISO. He doesn’t run so don’t expect much there. I like that he is hitting .300+ while hitting .300 in college as well. He has only played 7 weeks. I have no idea why he started late, if it was due to injury I have no idea what the injury was. His batted ball splits are exactly what you want from your bats. I don’t have great faith in Miami’s ability to develop bats, but it’s possible Payton’s floor was high enough that they can’t mess it up. IF Payton had Antonacci’s wheels he would be a MUST add in all leagues.
The Abyss (Deep specs for 1,000+ leagues and watchlists)
Leandro Lopez (0% Owned - Age 23) Rangers
Leandro started the season with back to back rough outings.
As much as everyone loves a fast start you get the opposite as well. Lots of guys can start cold and can go as hot as the rest. Since the first two starts he has been really good the last 9 starts.
That comes out to a 68% NH% with a 15% SwStr.
Lopez has always been a spin machine. He was throwing 3K rpm curveballs when he was in the DSL. He has expanded his bag of tricks from just being a 2 pitch pitcher. He can touch 98 sits 96 with his 4S, has a 89/90 MPH slider, a cutter, and lately a very nice changeup. In the second outing on his video he struck out guys on 4 different pitches.
Speaking of the DSL he was there in 2021 and 2022. He skipped the complex and went straight to A in 2023. This was his first action stateside in 2023.
He started and piggy backed all season throwing a total of 57 innings. He had a 58% NH% (pretty ho hum) but was up to 62% his final 9 outings. In 2024 he hurt his shoulder and elbow which limited him to just 13 innings. Leandro has started to make people notice over the last 2 months.
A fully healthy Leandro on the season is 1 of 2 arms (min 50 IP) with a 50% GB%, 14%+ SwStr, AVG against sub .200, sub 10.5% BB%. The other is David Davalillo (5.5% BB%). You think the Rangers are not all about NH%? Miss bats + play ground and pound. If I raise the BB% to 11.5% There is a 3rd arm. Jonah Tong who is 36% on Fantrax. You missed out on Davalillo (9%) when he hit the 0s and 1s last year? You want someone for free doing Tong things? Leandro is the guy you’ve been waiting for.
